Syncing across your devices

How your church library reaches every device, and how to import a big library safely.

Everything you add to the church database — songs, sets, the rota — syncs to every member's device. Changes save on your device instantly, then upload in the background; when another device next opens (or comes back to the foreground) it pulls the latest.

Importing a big library. A large import (say a whole OpenSong backup) is dozens of uploads, one after another. The toast shows a live countdown — "Imported 84 — uploading 61 to the server…" — and finishes with "all synced ✓". That tick means the database has them all and every device will get them.

A few reassurances:

If something didn't sync. Open Settings → Library. If any writes are still waiting, you'll see a line there — and if one was rejected, it names the reason. The Re-sync library to server button re-pushes your whole local library; it upserts by ID, so it's always safe to run and never makes duplicates.

Same church on every device. Sync is per-church, so make sure each device is signed into the same church account — songs added to one church never appear in another.
